"While on holiday this week we ate at your establishment during the Shanklin Carnival,when you were very busy,and we were very impressed indeed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was well presented and tasted fantastic. It made a very welcome change from the other 'meals' we had while there.Thank you to you, your chefs and bar staff for saving my holiday."

"We visited the Isle of Wight for the day with another couple of people in September 2008 and decided to take the train to Shanklin. Before returning to Ryde we thought it would be a good idea to have an early dinner and when we saw Vernon Cottage in Shanklin Old Village we just had to eat there. It had been a lovely day weather-wise but had turned a bit chilly and we wanted to eat outside, so it was suggested that we could sit in one of the heated garden arbours and this turned out to be perfect. Our meals were delicious and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The cottage, gardens and views are absolutely gorgeous and the overall experience is one we will always remember fondly."
