Vernon Cottage is situated in Shanklin Old Village, on the South East side of the Isle of Wight. Shanklin Old Village with its collection of pretty period thatched buildings grouped at the head of the Shanklin Chine provides one of the most important tourist destinations on the Island.
Shanklin Old Village has been a favourite tourist attraction since Victorian times. Vernon Cottage from its elevated position looks down over its landscaped gardens and the adjacent main Car Park, to the Old Village.
The Cottage is a five minute walk from both Shanklin beach and the town's main shopping area.
